Oscar's Best

Usually all eyes turn to Oscar to set the bar on the ultimate consumption of couture. Unlike the social scene, the entertainment award season is widely covered in the mainstream and can give even the casual watcher an idea of what the latest and greatest is. I expected to be given at the very least a spark of intrique this year but have come away disappointed. There was just not that one gown walking down the red carpet on the right women that made me go "thats it"! However Paul North at MediaRun put together a wonderful history of dresses worn by best actress winners. That was a wonderful little winner in an otherwise uninspiring field of fashion.
